A place that was recently rated in Movie Maker Magazine as number six in the top 10 cities for filmmaking. Wilmington since 1983 has been Hollywoods' best "hush hush" story. The Wilmington region has continued to be one of the most productive and cost effective filmmaking destinations in the world. To date, the Wilmington area has hosted over 500+ features, mini series, movies of the week and eight TV series along with numerous commercials and music videos. Wilmington also has the largest and most complete studio lot east of California. Screen Gems. At one time legendary producer Dino De Laurentis came to Wilmington to scout a location for Firestarter. What he found was his drive to build a major studio. Screen Gems was built solely on the profits of Firestarter. Church Hill Productions (CHP), it's mission is to create and develp low cost high quality films with a cutting-edge style. CHP has numerous projects that are being developed with its plan to produce two films per year. Along with a planned International Film and Music Festival,  a television network, The Gangster Network and our horror/specialty film label; Muddy Hill Films. We have the ability to acheive any set tasks we are given. A concept to distribution company of all kind of  media. Your stories or our we are an independent film company like no other. The cost of filmmaking has grown over the years. Studios need to generate revenues in the hundreds of millions of dollars to cover their cost. It is a risky proposition.  New technology, HD/DV, allows you to film high quality films at low cost; we lessen the risk of shooting movies. Some major Hollywood films has shot on HD. Most television programs you watch are all shot on HD. Church Hill is developing a networking of independent artists, to create an alliance to form a well structured team of players ranging from filmmakers, casting, some studios, soundtracks,distribution, etc.  The alliance will lead to bigger projects and more independence to circumvent studio systems. BACKGROUND "DEVOURED", the first of a triology, is an action thriller in the style of Pulp Fiction meets Reservoir Dogs meets The Departed.  After a successful trip to the New York International Film/Video Festival and The Fort Worth Film Festival..With a "BEST VIDEO FEATURE" win in New York, the company produced a version based on it's award winning treatment. Church Hill also developed the sequel to DEVOURED, entitled Pushing The Limit: DEVOURED 2, another action thriller in the style of Goodfellas meets The Departed meets Halloween. All films will be accompanied with a behind the scenes as well as a TV ready documentary "The Making Of:.. Given the audience as well as our investors more for their money. CHP style of filmmaking is to shoot efficiently with low cost, keep the profit margin high.  Filming is usually a 14-21 day schedule.  We have a vast library of locations, sites, and are constantly updating the library. We have a steady list of crew members, and are frequently interviewing for new members. The company currently has an additional six feature film projects in development ranging from horror, thrillers, dramas,comedies and even adult oriented materials, as well as potential television dramas and sitcoms series, and reality shows as well.
